A Teacher



Interesting
It was interesting that they had the female be the adult praying on a student. Usually, we tend to always see Men behaving badly. Great performance, showing one bad decision after another.

Wow. Incredible.
The Teacher draws you into its underworld feel. Compelling and startling and I could not stop watching. The actress that plays the teacher is heart-breakingly vulnerable even though she is a predator she is also a victim of her own insecurities and compulsions.

it helps to not only understand, but be comfortable with, november
i like it because i'm into pieces that deal with crossing the line in different ways, but this doesn't excuse the dud "meh" of the ending. the pros of the movie are the moods, the well conveyed "november," the success in capturing a forbidden situation under everyone's noses, and the passion -along with the coupled distraction of it all- of a hot romance.

the cons are the ending, as mentioned before. the character had so much room and opportunity to grow but was robbed of it all. the writing almost comes across vindictive, tbh. another con, imo, was the character of the boy, eric. he was much to emotionally developed to be convincing as a high school senior.

over all i'm glad to have seen it, i don't feel dupped or robbed as some other reviewers. but i definitely would argue with them over their reaction, i can totally see how they would come away from it feeling that way. for someone particularly taken with these issues, it's a fine movie and...
